Music Career Q & A!

Posted by Music Careers On September - 29 - 2008

What’s up…

Recently I’ve received several questions on getting . I received enough good questions to inspire me to hold a small event. An event that would only keep me inspired if I offered it to you FREE! (I hate having to pay for everything nowadays!)

So… because I have several good questions now and because I have the means, I wanted to have a “tele-seminar” so I can answer your questions and you can actually learn without having to PAY!

So without further delay, keep your eyes peeled! Watch this blog for the audio instructions on how and where to get the call.

In the mean time, here’s the timing for the call:

Date: Oct. 1, 2008
Time: 10:00 PM EST
Length: Approximately 20-30 minutes

And yes, I will make the audio recording available after the call.

best regards,

Dave

P.S. If you have questions you haven’t yet submitted to me, please do so before Wednesday, Oct 1.

Hey everyone,

OK, I want to tell you about what I think is probably one of the most important lessons there is… both for your music career and your personal life.

And YES… I’m quite serious. This isn’t just marketing hype.

It took me a long time to learn this… in fact; I really didn’t start to learn it until I became an entrepreneur several years ago. Maybe I’m just slow.

But once I started pursuing a career in music, I gradually learned this lesson… and it has made all the difference.

So this is it:

>> The more you give to others, the more will come back to you<<

You’ve probably heard that before. You might have even said it before.

Maybe you even live and breathe it… in which case, I’m sure you are wildly successful.

This lesson is profoundly simple, but it’s incredibly powerful. Instead of focusing on “getting” you only have to focus on “giving”. If you do so, the changes in your life and career will start almost immediately; and the chain reactions are simply amazing.

Now this doesn’t mean you can give everything to everyone. For example, this newsletter goes out to a lot of people. I can’t sit down with each of you and explain the specifics of each and every
.

There aren’t enough hours in the day.

No… you don’t have to give to EVERYONE who asks or everyone who has needs. That’s impractical – none of us can do that.

But you should still put your focus on GIVING.

Let me give a few examples: I have just finished up my music career book.

HOWEVER, I want you to know – I spent 16 months creating 450 pages of information. I created a “map” of how each career interlocks with each other career of the same nature. I created a website to inform everyone of my “research” in great detail. Then I re-arranged the book and website content several times to insure accuracy.

I then created a blog for delivering ideas. Not to mention seeking the help of a business expert to learn and practice the ways of business and distribution to insure what I’m GIVING is actually received.

Why did I go through so much effort? Because if you’re like me a means a lot to you! We’re talking about LOVE here! I’m not playing! I understand the importance of the truth… I understand the importance of GIVING solid content. If you’re going to deal with me… if I’m going to play a role in your success in music… you’re GETTING something real (period)

Me personally, I know the major accomplishment it is to make it in music… We’re playing with the big dogs! The struggles I’ve endured compel me to give back!

I know that giving will come back to me.

Another example: I’m really good at brainstorming and I love to mastermind with those who love this art and business.

One thing I always focus on when I mastermind is spending more time/energy on the other person’s position and issues. By understanding their use I can calculate my use to them.

I always focus on this.

And you know what? The end result is I’ve built up a NETWORK of people I can mastermind with. This means whenever I’m stuck, I can tap into my resources of knowledge and experience and either jump back on my path to success or receive information on someone or something that CAN help me jump back on my path.

Here’s a related example: About 5 months ago I helped a group of artists secure a slot in their biggest show yet through research I was doing. In return, due to my interest in their future we were able to collaborate and I am now in the process of recording a track with them. In addition I will be performing the track with them at the show! Keep an eye out for pictures…

I even went as far as paying for the Sonicbids membership.

And that’s my point… I gave and continue to give and well… you know what that means – eventually, it is all going to come back.

And with my … that day is here. Being able to give on an international level will surely connect me to many priceless opportunities important to my success! It is all about to come rushing back to me.

best regards,

Dave

P.S.> PLEASE don’t overlook this lesson – it’s critical to your
success.
