Film Scorer: Composes orchestral and/or popular music meant for films or television shows. The role of the film composer is to create music that helps forward the story without overpowering the scene. Famous film scorers include:
Instrumentalist: Also called musicians, the instrumentalist plays a music instrument or several music instruments as a profession. They work in studios as a studio musician, in a band or as part of an orchestra.
Instrument Maker: An instrument maker is one who builds, constructs, designs, and even repair music instruments. He/she has undergone extensive training and education in order to become a skilled instrument maker. The instrument maker understands the principles and complexities behind the construction of a specific instrument.
Librettist: The librettist writes the libretto or the words that would be set to music in a stage production such as an opera. The librettist works closely with the composer, making sure that the words complement the music and vise versa.
Managing Artists: The artist manager wears many hats; A business person who sees to it that the artists they manage have a steady stream of income-generating projects. They are promoters who help spread the word about their artist, creating attention through posters and radio or tv interviews. They are also friends who makes sure thier artist takes good care of themselves and works hard in order to perform at his best.
